No Fuss Beer Bread

I found this recipe a while back and it is the truly the simplest way to make bread. The prep takes 5 minutes and then it's in the oven and you can go and relax! The beer makes it very tasty with quite a strong taste of the hops - great to go with cheese! We had it with our brunch in the garden this morning and it was divine! Bank holiday bliss.

Ingredients

350g white self raising flour
150g Wholemeal flour
500ml beer (I use ale but you can use lager)
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp caster sugar

1. Set oven to 180 degrees and grease the bottom and sides of a loaf tin.

2. Sieve the flour into a big mixing bowl and add the sugar and salt. Pour the beer in, mixing as you go.

3. Pour the mixture into the loaf tin and put it in the oven.

I know it doesn't look too appealing but it will look great once it's out the oven!

4. Leave in the oven for 1 hour and 30 minutes or until a skewer comes out clean.

5. Voila! You have a loaf of bread!
